BRANDON + LACEY

I wish the Flux Capacitor was real so that Brandon and Lacey’s wedding could go back to the future so I could shoot it all over again. Whoa.

Alexandroid - Ugh these are so good. You make me want to eat my 5d and cry. You don’t really. You make me want to take more photos :) You sir, are rad.

Darbi G - Wow, I’m a new fan…have added you to my feed. Thank you so much for wonderful inspiration. :)
Happy lighting!

kristy ahumada - god these are gorg…. = )

Shannon Patton - Any time you can capture a bride and make her look like a 1930′s vintage vogue magazine model, I’d say she’d be pretty satisfied ;) PLUS, the most cleaver capture of this night was the little boy biting his lip on dad’s shoulder. How did you even get that?! Never do you disappoint, Hugh Forte.

Yuka photo art - These photographs are amazing! My favorite- b/w with a bride

Hugh - you guys are rad, thanks for stopping by and dropping the blog love.
@chloe, well thank you! next time i make it up to SLO we are for sure going to go frolicking with our cameras. I get to wear the frock though :) And I’m using the canon 45mm t/s. I’m a big fan of PS, but there’s just nothing like proper bokeh, IMO.

Chloe Murdoch - ps: do you use a tilt shift? Or r u post processing? Love it

Chloe Murdoch - Hugh love it!!!!!! WOW, as always you inspire and challenge me! The shots in the Vineyard are amazing! My favorite is the one of them upcose with the umbrella it is so beautiful. I am going to steal this pose but give you credit of course. :) When can you take pictures of me!!! Serioulsly I want a Hugh photo shoot!

Char - bro, imPRESSIVE stuff. you really have a style, easy to see. Love the blur-blow out effect. awesome.

@nickbro – thanks, man. as i said, lacey and brandon made it easy. so did your awesome flowers :)
@everyone – i apologize for all the emoticons, but you guys make me smile.

:)

Nick McCoy Aka Bro - Absolutely astonishing! What breathtaking pictures! You have an amazing eye and an outstanding ability to capture the true emotion and sensitivity of the event and especially the couple. The pictures of my beautiful sister and my new handsome brother in the vineyard are remarkable and the close up of them in front of the umbrella is perhaps the sexiest picture I have ever seen. You truly captured the immense love the two have for each other and now we can all share that tremendously special moment between them forever! Thanks again, you rock!

SimplyBloom - Absolutely Fantastic!! You have such an immense talent.

Benj Haisch - ummm yes please.

this set is SICK. seriously. you freakin nailed it.

Jenna - There are few things I like more than a bride and groom in a vineyard. Loving that shot under the gazebo! I really like paying attention to when you use a wide angle and when you don’t, I think you have a good eye for when to do so.

Jeremiah Klein - stunning, this should be in print somewhere!

rich - Hugh, you killed it! These are incredible, as always, but I’m blown away…time to step it up. Great photos…

Hugh - thank you, ladies :)

Michelle Moore - UH. YES PLEASE?! This is amazing. WOW.

matty mo - first and last blew the mind. the aftermath feels good. solid.

Chloe Murdoch - love love the last two!

Matt Snelson - tick tick Boom!!!!! awesome shots!

something heavy

moment of clarity
There was nothing profound about this scene when I captured it. I’d just glanced up from watching my feet make their way down the sidewalk when I saw this lady about to cross the street, lifted my camera and released. I underexposed the shot pretty badly in camera, but looking back on it now, there’s something heavy and distinctly Prague-esque about the light, because of it. Makes me miss the travels. Let’s go back.

Prague, Czech Republic

Jeremiah Klein - Looks like a shot from the late 80′s with that classic audi looking car in the back. I’m sure it hasn’t changed much sense then too. Nice capture…

AJ - I have bizarre feeling of how to characterize Prague. My experience was capturing beauty with a very unique culture. A clouded culture confused by decades of overlap.
